Finding Fanny' out soon as book

The dashingly hot duo Deepika Padukone-Arjun Kapoor quirky comedy film Finding Fanny, is all set for a theatrical release. But not everybody knows that the screenplay of the film Finding Fanny was adapted from a novel by the film's co-writer. The 200-page novel is soon expected to be out in next year.

“My co-writer, Kersi Khambatta, wrote the novel based on my short story of Finding Fanny Movie Reviews, and then we used that to develop the screenplay. My only issue was that I told him to keep the book on ice until the film was out,” says director Homi Adajania .“Now that it is releasing soon, Kersi can pimp the novel to publishers. It’s a funny read, and way more convoluted than the script,” he added.

Two years after the film that hit the box office Cocktail, director Homi Adajania is back with bang and a idiosyncratic misadventure; this time about a dappled crew looking for a postman's lost love through Goa. The Hindi and English versions of Finding Fanny will hit the theatres on September 12, across India and in various 40 international territories, which form the exodus markets targeted by most main stream Bollywood films.  The film makers believe that Homi Adajania, the director has made a outstanding global film that will be accepted in any market. "The difference between the two versions is just three-four minutes and not a complete re-edit. This English version will be cut by Nick Moore to cater to that audience," Director Homi Adajania said in a statement."It's the same story but will be told in a way that the firangs understand better," he added.

The English and Hindi versions of Finding Fanny will hit theatres Sep 12. The film Finding Fanny is presented by Fox Star Studios, and there also are plans to set the film out in a separate edited version of Finding Fanny in non-exodus markets – Europe, the US and the Far East - three to four months after its September release.  Moore has directed impressive and outgoing films like Wild Child (2008) and Horrid Henry: The Movie (2011) but is better known as the editor of The Full Monty (1997) which bagged him a BAFTA nomination, Notting Hill (1999), About A Boy (2002) and Love Actually (2003).

Finding Fanny is a forthcoming Hindi/English satirical, drama film, written and directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films baner and presented by Fox Star Studios. The film Finding Fanny features Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia, Pankaj Kapur, Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor in prominent roles. The film is based on an adventurous road trip set in Goa and links and follows the journey of five characters. The film is scheduled for release on 12 September 2014.

Finding Fanny Reviews revolves around the main five rather lost and dysfunctional characters that live in the whimsical sleepy village of Pocolim, dwelled deep in the interiors of Goa, India. Pocolim is a village where pointless and stupid conversations are a way of life feeding the life of the people. Nothing ever realistic happens here and the people of Pocolim, well, they just exist for the sake of it. One night, the old postman Ferdie , character played by Naseeruddin Shah, receives a letter that is slipped under his door. He then realizes that it was the letter he had written to the love of his life 46 years ago, Stefanie Fernandes character played by Anjali Patil, asking for her hand to marry her. To his utter shock and dismay, he discovers that had the letter had never been delivered. All these years the post man Ferdie has lived a life of regret, believing that his love Stefanie had rejected him. He then decides to find his beloved Fanny and tell her the truth. The movie Finding Fanny is a comical story and an off the wall story about a bunch of oddities who venture out to find this girl Stefanie Fernandes (Fanny) and in the process, they discover a unique and strange sense of love and solace amongst each other, and end up seeing a point back to their previously dull and pointless lives.

Desi Kattey Movie

Desi Kattey, produced by Anand Kumar Productions, is set for its releases August 28. Director Anand Kumar says the look of 'Desi Kattey' may give an impression of a gangster film, his upcoming directorial venture is an inspiring sports drama. And the first casualty of the controversy surrounding the CBFC following the arrest of its CEO Rakesh Kumar in a bribery case is the upcoming Suniel Shetty-starrer, 'Desi Kattey'. The producers of the film are yet to receive the all-clear certificates  for the film's promos.

"We're losing out on time and money both. There is no signing authority at the CBFC right now to pass my promos which have been with them for over a week. What are we supposed to do?" asks the film's exasperated director Anand Kumar. Now, the film's release has been forcibly  pushed forward by two weeks so there is time for promotions. "This delay will cost us an additional Rs 1 crore. But if there are no promos on air, who will know my film is even releasing?" Kumar points out.

Director Anand Kumar's latest film Desi Kattey, featuring Jay Bhanushali and Vinod Khanna's nephew Akhil Kapur in lead roles, is the story of two orphans who grow up in a small  remote village, making country guns to earn their livelihood. The film traces their journey, as they go on to become national level shooters.

Kumar says, "I couldn't see anyone who didn't connect with the story, producing it. So I decided to do produce it myself, like Aamir Khan did for the movie  Lagaan." He feels that the movie, with its varied emotions, will strike a chord with the audience. "Every person who believes in friendship, patriotism and is passionate about sports will surely connect with it," he feels.

Rekha Bhardwaj, Ustad Rahat Ali Khan and Shreya Ghoshal have lent their voices to the film's songs, which have been penned and composed by Kailash Kher. The film traces the journey of two boys and one among the two goes on to become a national level shooter and represents India at the Olympics. The film stars TV actor Jay Bhanushali and Suniel Shetty, who plays the role of the shooting coach.

"The film does not begin like sports film... it starts like a very raw story about two boys. But it becomes a sports film. It is the journey of a boy- from being a nobody he becomes a shooter, represents India at the Olympics and wins a gold medal at the event," Anand told . 'Desi Kattey', set in the backdrop of the underworld, also stars Akhil Kapur, who plays the role of Bhanushali's childhood friend, Pali and chooses a different career path from his friend to become a dreaded gangster.

"It is about the  two boys, who have nobody in their lives. They are 'lawaris' (orphans). They make hand-made pistols and in the process accidentally become excellent shooters," said Anand, who has also produced the film.

'Desi Kattey' also stars Sasha Agha, Tia Bajpai, Murli Sharma and it will hit theatres on September 12.

Be it endorsements, big production houses queuing up at her door, or her break up with Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika is always in the news!

The upcoming flims of deepika padukone :

Finding Fanny:
Homi Adajania's film ‘Finding Fanny’ has been in the news for all the right reasons. The stellar star cast of the movie starring Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia have been an instant hit among the viewers. Within a day of its launch, the trailer of Finding Fanny, an English language film by Indian director Homi Adajania, has found over a million views on YouTube. The movie's makers are "very happy" with the response.

The trailer is said to have got one million views within 22 hours of being uploaded on the online video-sharing website.

"Content is king and the reaction to 'Finding Fanny' trailer proves just that. This is the movie to watch out for this year and we are very happy with the response and feedback that we have been getting on the trailer," Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios, said in a statement.

Happy New Year
The most-awaited Shahrukh Khan and deepika padukone movie Happy New Year of the year, this is about to release on October 23. In fact three months before its release, the movie has created enough buzz to get the ‘blockbuster’ tag. After shaking her booty in Dum Maaro Dum, Deepika Padukone is back to allure her fans with her dance moves. Malaika Arora Khan is also said to perform an item number for Happy New Year. These two hotties will soar the temperature providing a treat to watch for their fans.

The scarcity of saleable heroines at the box-office has hit Bollywood hard.

Generally, Most actresses charge under Rs10 crore a film. If it's a big project or has an A-List hero, they slash their price or are willing to negotiate. A small producer has no such luck as the price is hiked to twice the price.

A producer making a sequel to a very successful thriller learnt this the hard way when he went heroine shopping. He says, "I wanted either Deepika Padukone or Katrina Kaif for the female lead. I quickly scampered away when I heard the price they quoted and signed another less pricey A-Lister."

Now, he is planning to approach Alia Bhatt and Shraddha Kapoor. A trade insider, who doesn't wish to be named, says, "Neither Alia nor Shraddha has raised her fee at the moment even after consecutive hits. But it can happen any time. Producers who cannot reach Katrina and Deepika are approaching Alia and Shraddha. Though these two are extremely selective, they are not prohibitive pricewise. At least, not yet."

Upcoming movies of Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra is one Indian actress that has managed to make it big with her acting performances. The actress has always chosen to play role that area challenging and different. This is what makes her a versatile actress. Now, the actress will be seen in the forthcoming biopic titled Mary Kom. In this biopic, she plays the role of a leading champion boxer Mary Kom. Through the story depicted in this film, Priyanka Chopra is ready to showcase the life story and struggle for success that Mary Kom went through on her way to making us proud.

It is interesting to know that Bollywood filmmakers are now taking interest in documenting the lives of sports stars. Before this film, we saw the film ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, which was also a biopic on the life of Milkha Singh, the champion athlete. Farhan Akhtar played the role of the champion athlete and fared very well at award ceremonies because of his performance in the film. This film did extremely well at the box office and the makers of Mary Kom are expecting the same results for their film after its release.

The posters of  Mary Kom Movie along with the official trailer are out and they have managed to impress us. In the poster of this film, we can see Priyanka in a completely different avatar. Her look in this poster is devoid of glamour and is very action packed. She sports a different kind of hair do which suits her look n this film. It seems like Priyanka has trained really hard for this film and it shows in her physique that she looks like a boxer. Mery Kom herself commented that Priyanka’s efforts for looking like a boxer completely paid off.
The trailer of this film is very touching and gives us a gist of what we should expect in this film. This film is made in 2 different versions. One version will be made for the Indian audience. These versions will focus more on her story to success. The version meant for the global audience will focus more on her win at various boxing matches. The filmmaker’s decision to make this film in separate versions is on account of achieving a global appeal along with pleasing the Indian audience.

This film is set to hit the theatres on the 5th of September this year and read Mary kom movie reviews on clapsnslaps site which is giving honest reviews for movies. It will be interesting to watch if this biopic excels better that ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ at the box office and with the audiences. The film was show to Mary Kom herself and she watched it with her husband. She felt the film, id complete justice to her life story as she got emotional after watching it. The champion boxer then called Priyanka and congratulated her over her performance and said that she succeeded in her efforts of portraying such a difficult role. Priyanka’s cousin Parineeti will be seen in a forthcoming film ‘Daawat-e-Ishq’ which also releases on the same day as Mary Kom. It will be an interesting scene at the box office.

Dabangg 2 Movie Review, Songs and Picture, wallpaper

Right now if Salman Khan stands in front of the camera twitching one eyebrow for two-and-half hours, he'll guarantee a 200-crore hit. Dabangg 2 gives you more than that, of course. It unleashes the superstar in full fury and flair.

The process is manufactured to regale though you don't miss the awful truth- this sequel is basically the same film as the first one, as the trailers hinted. Arbaaz Khan- credited here as producer-director- blindly repeats every trick that worked forDabangg, stunt for stunt, song for song and, at times, scene for scene. There is the trademark peeling off of the shirt too, in an all-new gimmicky manner.

As far as characterisations go, the Dabangg (2010) team did all the hard work on the tone, language, look and setting of the film, right down to the last minute detail. Dabangg 2 steps into the very same terra firma, albeit with a new setting (Kanpur), a new conflict (Bachcha Bhaiya, played by Prakash Raj) and a new item number, Fevicol Se, with Kareena Kapoor swaying to its randy tune. Chulbul plays happy husband and family guy to Rajjo (Sonakshi Sinha) and brother Makhan Pandey (Arbaaz Khan) and father (Vinod Khanna) in the sequel with some old tricks like his aviators slung on the back of his shirt collar, some new lines and Kung Fu Pandey moves.

The mere presence of Salman in the film makes you forget that it lacks a story; such is his persona. The film should have been titled Chulbul Pandey rather than Dabangg 2. Given that another film is being planned on the legendary cop, for starters, it could really do with an exciting title as well as a story.
The romance between Rajjo and Chulbul is tepid and, dare I say, boring, despite them being newlyweds. In fact, the scenes between Chulbul and his father are more exciting and funny! Though there is a flow to the scenes unfolding on screen, the film on the whole is not half as exciting as it could have been, given it was mounted on a sure shot, winning formula.
Cast: Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Prakash Raj, Deepak Dobriyal, Nikitin Dheer, Arbaaz Khan, Vinod Khanna
